Just Speak Your Mind in Your Dating Site Profile Mar 08, 2008 Previously, I told you that thousands of people register for online dating sites every single day. These people are looking for someone just like you, but no matter how much they would love to find you, the chances of that happening are slim to none. It's almost impossible not to "blend in" with all those thousands of others. The only way is to make your profile "stand out" and rise above the clutter. These dating tips articles are intended to show you how to do that. Most people who join a dating site are so afraid of scaring off a potential date, that when it comes time to describe their ideal match, they leave every possible door open. Guess what? Even if you’re ok with anybody between 3’1 and 7’0 who smokes or doesn’t smoke, has 0-10 kids, and has a body type ranging from “Slim and Trim” to “A Whole Lotta Lovin”, you should still be picky in your descriptions. Remember… people want what they can’t have. This is an invariable truth. First of all, she is going to look at your profile and see a confident man who knows what he wants and isn’t afraid to say it. Women find these two qualities very attractive. Then she just might write you a note that says something along the lines of “You’re missing out!”.And if you can’t take it from there, I’m afraid you are beyond all hope. I used a man seeking a woman in this example, but the same holds true for anybody seeking anybody. People are drawn to a challenge, and always want what they think they can't have. Here’s something else to think about. Do you remember the last time YOU searched through the personal ads? Did you ignore the part about what YOU were looking for, and instead, search for someone who happened to be looking for a match with the exact same height, body type, etc., as you are? I didn’t think so. Nobody searches that way. So here’s the bottom line: You have zero to lose and a whole lot to gain by being picky in your description of the type of person you are looking for… so do it! | |||
